Recursive Loops in The Performance-Research Praxis

In our cultural and academic context, what allows the progress of theoretical production in the performing arts is artistic research, defined according to its current foundations, classifications, methods and problematiza tions. Therefore, in this article we propose a conceptual review of the relationship be tween theory and performing arts research based on a case study. This inquiry will allow us to analyze a dimension of the topic and will contribute to understanding the task of weaving theory in the performing arts, through a «feedback loop» (Morin, 1994) be tween praxis, theoria and poiesis.Downloads
