Abstract

This review presents the book Art Today (2014) by Jean-Luc Nancy, a French philosopher, and ithighlights its main proposal: the meaning of the term contemporary art. Located on the same lineas other theoretical and/or art historians who have made essential analysis for the visual arts, theauthor also extends on other topics as the plurality of the arts and the notion of gesture, giving us some key reading for art in the present.
