Abstract

El golpe militar que instauró la dictadura en 1976 introdujo un cambio radical en el campo de las artes del espectáculo, limitando y censurando numerosas manifestaciones artísticas. Aun cuando ciertas prácticas surgieron como expresiones populares genuinas, y dieron cuenta de la resistencia contra el Terrorismo de Estado y la lucha contra la censura y el silenciamiento, también existieron expresiones manipuladas o apropiadas por el gobierno de facto y por ciertos sectores civiles reaccionarios que fueron utilizadas o dirigidas en contra del propio pueblo con fines propagandísticos.
