Abstract

This article examines a little-explored as pect of Horacio Butler’s artistic career. We refer to his stay at the Worpswede art co lony in Germany. This stay was crucial for understanding both the importance of the art/travel relationship for Argentine artists in Europe at the beginning of the last century, and the influences that the landscape genre exerted on the configuration of a distinct vi sual memory.
