The objective of this work is to study a set of works by the artist Adolf Methfessel (Swit zerland, 1836-1909) belonging to the collec tion of the La Plata Museum (Buenos Aires, Argentina), focusing on their state of conser vation and the actions disassembly, cleaning and storage. In the first instance, the article investigates the characteristics of the produc tions, such as their materiality, the themes and the instances of their exhibition. Subse quently, the work proposes the diagnostic analysis of the set. For this, the prepared file and the fields that make it up are described. Finally, the text describes the actions carried out regarding the conservation of the works, including the tasks of disassembly, cleaning, photographic recording and preparation of first and second level endpapers.Downloads
