In this work I deal with the possibility of creating a story about Latin American photography by approaching Open Maps-Latin American photography 1991-2002, an exhibition curated by Alejandro Castellote in2003, in Spain. As we will see throughout the article, even though the participating investigators tried to stay away from certain topics and traditional ways to approach the photography of that region, in some cases they replicate models which seem to be omitted at least in their theoretical speech.Downloads
