Rubbings of the School of Fine Arts. A research advance

This work presents an advance in research on the collection of rubbings of the area Museum, Exhibitions and Conservation of the School of Fine Arts of the National University ofLa Plata. Itdeals with the historical aspects of the constitution of the collection, its institutional evolution since its initial formation in the Museo General ofLa Plata, the use given in the Drawing School of that museum and its final location at the Superior School of Fine Arts, which is now the School of Fine Arts of the University ofLa Plata. Thisarticle also focuses on the identification of original works of medieval casts that are part the collection, establishing its origin and date of completion.Downloads
