Focused destruction. Eugenia Calvo and Luciana Lamothe’s pieces of work

Several national artistic projects from the last decade associated to installation devices, performance and video are based on experiences taken from daily environments. In this article, we will focus on the productions of the Argentine artists Eugenia Calvo and Luciana Lamothe. Calvo, in her interventions on the domestic space, as well as Lamothe, in her research on urban public spaces, reveals small acts of vandalism of daily objects when questioning the idea of a diverted use of the tools in relation with its pre-established purposes.Downloads

Moreover, the magazine encourages the authors to deposit their productions in other institutional and thematic archives under the principle that offering the society the scientific and academic production without any restrictions contributes to a greater exchange of the global knowledge.
