Abstract

From the dialogue that arises from the joint poetic production between dance and music, the book El que compone no baila [The One Who Writes Does Not Dance] analyzes the assumptions, dynamics and processes that cross the compositions linked to contemporary dance made in the city of La Plata from 2006 to 2018. From musical composition as an axis but understanding creation as a linking, dialectical and necessarily situated action, Ramiro Mansilla Pons develops a detailed analysis based on his own experience in the interdisciplinary production and the reflection of the protagonists, putting in crisis paradigms stagnant and reproduced even today in the musical practice.
