This article explores a group of notions, product ofan investigation that started in 2015, concerning theprogress of self-managed cultural organizations. Theseorganizations expand the possibilities of La Plata’s artisticfield, specifically regarding contemporary arts, and canbe considered to be emergent, a concept derived fromRaymond Williams culture sociology studies. The articleproposes a revision of the artist as an actor that goesbeyond the sole creation of his work, since it delves intothe theory and practice of artists as cultural managers, acting as representatives of a collective.Downloads
