Abstract

The present paper tries to reflect on the scope and limitations of color theory in contemporary art and its relationship with texture and material. In order to develop this theme, two works are analyzed, one of them is Gumball Machine (2012) by Augusto Esquivel and the other is from Elisa Insua’s The Middle Class (2014).
