Abstract

From the epistemic framework that understands the art production as one which is capable of having knowledge, the transformation of the theses on Plastic Arts of the Facultad de Bellas Artes (FBA), Universidad Nacional de La Plata (UNLP) is analyzed. This change, which took place between 2011 and 2012 and in which the number of pages is reduced from 30 to 5, creates distance from the traditional point of view of knowledge, with a discursive and logocentric focus, and approximates a concept of knowledge built from the research in art, which focus is experiential and hermeneutical. With this aim, three study cases from three graduates in Plastic Arts are taken into account and the real differences between a thesis on Plastic Arts and one on History of Art are separated and analyzed.
