Abstract

In Los condenados de la pantalla [The wretched of thescreen] (2014), Hito Steyerl makes an analysis of the imagesthat can shows us posible current paradigms and the roleof art, caracterized by the digital revolution, a massive flowof images and the hypermediatization of society. Theeseimages draw a map of the emerging sensibility, whichunfolds in a world that has lost an stable horizon, where theeye of God’s perspective has been replaced by drones andGoogle Maps, and where the factory has expanded to allactivities, leaving us with no exit door.
