This article examines the installation Blanes / Sound Codes by the Uruguayan artist Diego Masi, presented to the public between 7 and 12 November 2017 in the main hall of the Blanes Museum in Montevideo. The installation intervened in the painting Oath of the Thirty-Three Orientals by the Uruguayan painter Juan Manuel Blanes. The study proposes an analysis of the work based on three notions developed by Anne-Marie Duguet concerning the potential contributions and challenges derived from the use of video in installations since the 1960s: the experience of the work, the concept of thework ofart, and the idea of the dispositif.Downloads
