Matilde Alvides Copyright (c) 2024 https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0 https://papelcosido.fba.unlp.edu.ar/ojs/index.php/clang/article/view/1908 Wed, 18 Sep 2024 00:00:00 +0000 Flores blancas https://papelcosido.fba.unlp.edu.ar/ojs/index.php/clang/article/view/1918
Juan Pablo Gascón Copyright (c) 2024 https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0 https://papelcosido.fba.unlp.edu.ar/ojs/index.php/clang/article/view/1920 Wed, 18 Sep 2024 00:00:00 +0000 Superhecho https://papelcosido.fba.unlp.edu.ar/ojs/index.php/clang/article/view/1921
Leandro Mellid Copyright (c) 2024 https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0 https://papelcosido.fba.unlp.edu.ar/ojs/index.php/clang/article/view/1921 Wed, 18 Sep 2024 00:00:00 +0000 Sound Intervention of The Piece Coeur by Bussotti https://papelcosido.fba.unlp.edu.ar/ojs/index.php/clang/article/view/1909
In this work, we propose an approach to the electroacoustic intervention carried out by the composer Ricardo de Armas in the work Coeur by Sylvano Bussotti with an interest in the treatment of sound space. To this end, we carry out a description of materials and sound gestures, behaviors and relations of the whole, structural analysis and dimensional qualities. For this, we have detailed the concepts at stake and some of the theoretical approaches as Basso, Cetta, Edelstein and Saitta. We propose that the use of mixed media enriches and expands the acoustic space through the incorporation and edition of new sources, the addition of tonal heights and the extension of the register and the textural treatment, among other procedures.
Leticia Molinari Copyright (c) 2024 https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0 https://papelcosido.fba.unlp.edu.ar/ojs/index.php/clang/article/view/1909 Wed, 18 Sep 2024 00:00:00 +0000 Between the Archive and The Archivist https://papelcosido.fba.unlp.edu.ar/ojs/index.php/clang/article/view/1910
The foundational sound archive of the Instituto Nacional de Musicología «Carlos Vega» (INM) was generated by Carlos Vega as an object of study to examine and classify the popular music of Argentina and Latin America. In turn, Vega’s musicological research has become an object of analysis in itself. However, neither Vega nor his successors have paid special attention to the reflection of the praxis of documentary production and classification. Therefore, this article investigates the documentary policy developed by Carlos Vega in order to propose a possible methodology for the management of his collection. First of all, the modes of creation, cataloguing and selection initiated by Vega and continued by the institute are studied. Secondly, a series of strategies adopted in pursuit of the integral and procedural approach of the institutional sound archive of the INM is exposed.
Elina Adduci Spina Copyright (c) 2024 https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0 https://papelcosido.fba.unlp.edu.ar/ojs/index.php/clang/article/view/1910 Wed, 18 Sep 2024 00:00:00 +0000 Identity Against Territoriality in Colonial Latin America https://papelcosido.fba.unlp.edu.ar/ojs/index.php/clang/article/view/1911
As a power practice over a social space, territoriality was a fundamental aspect for Latin American nations to impose imaginary national communities, through the arbitrary suppression of pre-existing heteroglossia. Music played a predominant role in this process. Thus, musical nationalisms can be understood as a practice of cultural whitening and styling, through a territoriality that covered up the deep musical history of Nuestra America. This text analyzes the circulation of Latin American musicking, establishing correlations between popular practices of synchronous emergence within the Hispanic colonial Atlantic, such as Fandangos, Zarabanda or Punto. We will specifically analyze some features that made the evasion and camouflage of territorial marks their condition of possibility.
Martín Eckmeyer Copyright (c) 2024 https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0 https://papelcosido.fba.unlp.edu.ar/ojs/index.php/clang/article/view/1911 Wed, 18 Sep 2024 00:00:00 +0000 Delving Into the Version https://papelcosido.fba.unlp.edu.ar/ojs/index.php/clang/article/view/1912
In the study of the creative processes of popular music in institutionalized teachinglearning situations, the need to establish a classification and differentiation that favors the effectiveness of didactic actions is noted. Terms such as theme, composition, arrangement, interpretation and version are commonly used in the framework of classes, but their meanings in terms of the objects and processes they involve are not framed in conventions that allow their clear individualization. In this work we develop a proposal for the consideration of these materials and moments of musical production that establishes a distinction of the partial stages of the creative process and the circularity in its modes of articulation.
Alejandro Polemann Copyright (c) 2024 https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0 https://papelcosido.fba.unlp.edu.ar/ojs/index.php/clang/article/view/1912 Wed, 18 Sep 2024 00:00:00 +0000 Resent Music Teaching https://papelcosido.fba.unlp.edu.ar/ojs/index.php/clang/article/view/1913
This writing reflects different experiences from my academic trajectory in music education by questioning cis-heteronormative pedagogical foundations. Through a transfeminist standpoint, re-sensing becomes the fundamental axis guiding this quest to find new ways of teaching and learning music. In this context, various sections will critically review the aesthetic ideals of Modernity that still circulate and reproduce within music education institutions. Addressing the disruptive potential inherent in transfeminist proposals and practices, we will explore the importance of reclaiming notions of body and corporeality, curricular justice, and affectivity as pivotal categories in the music teaching and learning processes.
Cecilia Segura Copyright (c) 2024 https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0 https://papelcosido.fba.unlp.edu.ar/ojs/index.php/clang/article/view/1913 Wed, 18 Sep 2024 00:00:00 +0000 Beat Music and The Normalization of Rock Aesthetic in Argentina https://papelcosido.fba.unlp.edu.ar/ojs/index.php/clang/article/view/1914
The success of beat music during the second half of the 1960s is a key but little-studied episode in the history of Argentine popular music. The emergence of numerous local groups inspired by the Beatles and other similar artists produced a strong renewal of youth music and contributed strongly to the formation of pop-rock in the country. In this article I propose the musical analysis of one of the fundamental songs of this phenomenon, «El extraño del pelo largo» by La Joven Guardia. My argument is that this song, which was one of the great musical hits of 1969, demonstrates the progressive normalization of the rock aesthetic within Argentine popular music.
Julián Delgado Copyright (c) 2024 https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0 https://papelcosido.fba.unlp.edu.ar/ojs/index.php/clang/article/view/1914 Wed, 18 Sep 2024 00:00:00 +0000 Mestizo Transvocality https://papelcosido.fba.unlp.edu.ar/ojs/index.php/clang/article/view/1915
Based on musical autonomy, research dedicated to Latin American collective songs relegated sound aspects that allow us to recognize common and own principles of musical production. This work includes such manifestations from a mestizo and our American thought that pays attention to the existing correspondences between sound and the historicalstructural conditions in which they have been produced and are being produced. To do this, it proposes mestizo transvocality as a possible methodology to characterize them, understand their specificity and the subversive character they present by questioning, from sound, the discursive rhetoric that sustains and reproduces the coloniality of power and musical knowledge.
