This paper studies the bylaws of six concert societies in Argentina between 1867 and 1884, based on the modeling of the respectability that the promotion of musical practice regulates. Since this practice reflects and shapes behaviors within the social and political dynamics of the time, the statutes are compared to identify common constants. The methodology involves the use of primary archival sources and a bibliographic survey specific to the musical history in Argentina.Downloads
