Reseña a Juan Genaro González Vedoya & Juan Pedro Zubieta (2022). A 50 años de… Canción Nueva Correntina. Corrientes, Argentina: Moglia Ediciones y Fundación Memoria del Chamamé, 199 páginas. Around 1970 in Corrientes, artists began to associate with the desire and objective of disseminating new musical compositions that often remained filed in a drawer. Factors such as the lack of space in national festivals and the disinterest of record companies in disseminating these compositions are some of the reasons that encouraged the formation of the CIAC (Composers, Interpreters and Authors of Corrientes) and the creation of the first contest «Canción Nueva Correntina» in 1972. In this book, Juan Pedro Zubieta and Juan Genaro González Vedoya invite us to revisit the events of those times.Downloads
