The Rock & Pop are genres constitutive of contemporary urban popular music. Its beginnings, during the second half of the 20th century, are inseparable from a cultural industry that, by then, was already highly developed. For this reason, his productions with a massive and global reach, propitiated a particular poetics. Its power fascinated the youth by establishing identity rites, types of consumption, iconic idols bearers of fun, of rebellion, and of breaking with the established adult mandate. This writing synthesizes from the music and its analysis something of all that. It is the result of an investigation -in process- carried out in a pandemic, within the framework of the PIBA Projects, sponsored by the Faculty of Arts, of the National University of La Plata and to whom we are fully grateful.Downloads
