Abstract

The following article aims to shed some light on the various apects that make the rhythmic composition of trap music, framed in what is currently called urban music. It will consider its musical precedents and the patterns from where trap develops to forge its autonomy, and its own beat. It will also consider its production context, indivisibly linked to technology and its possibilities and experimentations, key factors to understanding this rhythm, one of the musical novelties of recent times.
