Abstract

This book approaches the relationship between image and thought from the notion of imagomaquia, understood as the tension between the hegemonic audiovisual discourse -which imposes ways of seeing and thinking- and the forms of counter-enunciation proper to the cinema-essay, which resist the logic of cinema-capital. From the macro-concept of image-thinking, the author draws a cartography of audiovisual forms that configure modes of critical thinking, such as image-deconstruction, image-multiplicity or image-writing, among others.
