Abstract

Interview with the filmmaker, researcher and teacher of new media Susana de Sousa Dias. During her visit to Buenos Aires, she expressed her ideas about the montage and the uses of the archive in documentary cinema. We talked about the dimension of the montage in depth, the place of the memory, the uses of archival images and around her most recent film Fordlândia Malaise (2019), that addresses the history of the city founded by Henry Ford in the Amazonas.

The acceptance of the manuscript by the magazine means the non-exclusive cession of the property rights of the authors in favour of the editor, who allows the reuse, after publication (post print), under a license Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 International.
