Abstract

In the research of musical experience, the enactive and embodied cognitive science offers many characterizations of music. This work proposes to organize and re-elaborate them under the global categories of temporality and apparent agency, focusing on the process of signification and on the musical experience of the perceiver. Movement plays a central role in the relationship between sound environment and subject, and its signification leads to the enactive and embodied construction of music.
