Abstract

The letters were not recognized by railway fans and railway historians, even though they were extensively used by the different lines that operated in the country since 1857. They used their own designs or imported others, traits that we intend to respect, recognize and disseminate. This text traces the railway typography through its style, type of generation, function, location, application technique, materials and supports used, in relation to the historical, political and economic reality of Argentina.
