Abstract

In this work, we suggest an interpretation of Lisandro Alonso’s movie Jauja (2014), based on the concepts of utopia and heterotopia developed by Michael Foucault with the aim of presenting a critical view on the theoretical conceptual basis that we observe in the film, as well as its narrative construction. We intend to demonstrate that the movie in question, as well as Lisandro Alonso’s cinematography, undergoes a transformation that goes from utopia to heterotopia reviewing other spaces and renewing its way of narrating, without losing coherence.
