This paper reflects on the relationship between art, aesthetic experiences, rights and museums, which are considered public spaces, in vulnerable contexts. It focuses on the Popular Library La Carcova, which has been operating since 2012 in José León Suárez, one of the most vulnerable areas of the General San Martín municipality in Buenos Aires. Specifically, the paper analyses the work carried out between 2016 and 2019 in three public museums in the Ciudad Autónoma de Buenos Aires (CABA): the National Museum of Fine Arts (MNBA), the Benito Quinquela Martín Museum, and the Eduardo Sívori Museum of Fine Arts. Based on interviews and participant observation in the study area, we hypothesise that these aesthetic experiences constitute a right to art in this context.Downloads
