Abstract

What can a wish give shape to? What can give shape to a wish? How? These are the opening questions behind the research and making process of the setup called Where I Want to Be. The Invention of a Wishful Cartography (Allaltuni, 2019). This setup is the result of a pedagogic and artistic experience within the context of imprisonment as part of a university extension project. It deals with the connnection between scarcity, cartogrphy and wish to find possible poetic and fictional webs having acknowledged what can be considered intersections, faults and gaps. It is noted that the above definitions take place in a metaphoric scenario because of interrelationships, mediations and shifts that connect space, time and shape in a unique way.
