Conceptual Approaches to Action Art. Interventions by Escombros Group
Keywords:
Escombros, interventions, public sphereAbstract
This essay aims to develop certain approaches to the public and contextual art in its social dimension, produced by the group Escombros in two interventions. The first one was carried out in 2004 in Plaza de Mayo in the city of Buenos Aires, and the second took place on the roof of the Teatro Argentino of La Plata in 2010. The ways of doing, the participation of the different social actors, the intervention of the public, the participation of the young students from diverse schools of the city who became co-creators are useful elements to understand two modes of art practice of action in the contemporary world.Downloads
