Abstract

This work investigates the presence and absence of women and plastic artists in the Doctor Honoris Causa degrees list awarded by the Universidad Nacional de La Plata (UNLP). We base the analysis on the concepts given by Linda Nochlin and Griselda Pollock on the position women artists have occupied in social structures, emphasizing the implication of institutions in social inequalities.
