Abstract

In the present research we will look into the personal archive of Héctor Puppo regarding the works of Escombros group, in order to make an account of its importance as a device for the reconstruction of the group’s history based on the material registry of the events, their artworks. The affective dimension playing a role at the necessity of materializing the works and making them subsist through the archive will also be studied. Also, we will look for the possible tension between the nature of the happenings and the nature of their registry. To give attention to these features we will take Michel Foucault’s concepts on archive as a discursive system.
