A vague track. Imbalances in the Trial to the Military Juntas

This article examines the images from the Trial to the Military Juntas documentary found in the photographic library of the Argentine Photojournalists Association (ARGRA , acronym in Spanish). It consists of a set of photographs taken during the public audience held between April and August 1985 at the National Courthouse in Buenos Aires. The photograph of a witness in the middle of the empty room introduces a counterpoint in the archive, arising from the judges’ wage-related claims, and opening a low visibility zone which accounts for possible disputes in the construction of facts and its relationship with the actual events. Such disruption reveals a judicial power interrupting the transcendence of a prosecution to take care of itself.Downloads
