This work examines a series of images that make up the IDA Foundation archive. These images are grouped in the MetaDesign collection and capture the activity carried out by the communication and design studio founded in 1964 in Buenos Aires by Fanny Fingermann and Eduardo Joselevich, who created an innovative system of signage called Fototrama. This work will reflect upon the role of these productions in a new way of establishing visual experiences through design in the city. In addition, some possible contributions from Visual Studies will be explored, taking into account both the original location of such materials, as well as their current spreading and awakening from the archive.References
