Abstract

We will describe the appearance of the Red de Fábricas de Artes y Oficios (FARO) [Network of Factories of Arts and Trades] of Mexico City and we will develop the characteristics and dependencies that arose from this project. FARO is a new plan of public policy which intends to facilitate an approach between arts, trades and culture and young people who are in a territory of exclusion and social difficulties. The work of the Network is defined under the principles of equity, freedom, flexibility and is free of charge.
