The article analyzes Instrumento para estrellar (2020), a work by Diana Szeinblum that returns the gestures of Latin American protests, captured photographically. These ephemeral gestures are temporarily prolonged to (re)actualize them in a performative way. In dialogue with the Affective Turn, it explores how these gestures reactivate times and bodily memories that destabilize those meanings that appear fixed in the image. The ar tistic proposal thus invites us to reflect on the affective and political power of movement as a way of reinterpre ting the present.References
