Abstract

This article recovers the interview conducted with the Argentine artist Romina Casile, which is part of the UNLP doctoral scholarship project (period 2023/2028) entitled La ficción como estrategia en la reconfiguración del cotidiano. Performatividad, precariedad y gesto en cuatro instalaciones argentinas contemporáneas. The dialogue was aimed at getting to know a series of works that operate materially with objects and furniture of daily use, incorporating mechanisms —invented by the artist herself— for a particular sound functionality, in a singular temporal-spatial relocation that causes the construction of performative events. In this sense, the pieces La persistencia del objeto (2016), Trampa de vocales (2018) and Toda voz necesita un cauce (2021) were particularly examined.
