Abstract

This writing recovers the interview with Cynthia Edul. In it, she reflects on her performative conference «El punto de costura» (2023-2024), carried out together with the musician, composer, and performer Guillermina Etkin, at the Galpón de Guevara and Arthaus. To get into this experience, the selection of questions aims to emphasize the common operations between textile art and performance, from the imprint as a trace of the body’s action. The textiles mediated by this action, the gesture and its process operate as fundamental artistic materials, involving the use of the body, which acts as the axis of a narrative discourse and the form of the work.
