Abstract

This work tries to make visible the processes of cultural consolidation and legitimation in the city of Rosario (Santa Fe, Argentina) between 1930 and early 1940, pointing out some episodes and interactions between intellectuals and artists who advocated a situated modernity. In addition, the magazine Paraná, an editorial project promoted by Ricardo E. Montes i Bradley, will be analyzed outside the instituted narrative of the traditional historiography of Argentine art, which privileged the scene of the city of Buenos Aires.
