Abstract

Review of Cinema and Experience. Siegfried Kracauer, Walter Benjamin and Theodor Adorno (2011), by Miriam Bratu Hansen. The late historian and film historian discusses the role that Critical Theory played in film aesthetics and the experience of Modernity, and proposes the validity of that theoretical framework to think the contemporary audiovisual sensorium.
