Abstract

In contemporary ceramics, tradition and innovation values coexist in tension. This is a product of complex collaborations between ceramicists and industry, craftmen and architects, artists and potters. They have used clay with a phenomenological approach, as a means of improvisation, as a non-intellectual mode of expression, as a search for the experiential in clay, for the pleasure in making beyond the cerebral design of the form. In context of contemporary ceramic art practices we present a plastic research from January 2017, a unique experience for the sensitive comprehension of the ceramic process.
