As an essay, this work establishes an interpretive correlation between the images of art and the meanings acquired by the post-dictatorship (1983-2001), through the documentary records on the works exhibited in the art museums of Mendoza, reviewing the experience of the biennial NoCon exhibitions (Municipal Museum of Modern Art of Mendoza, 1985-1998), from the notions of art-archive and image-document. From the image policies proposed by Víctor Silva Echeto and a critical episteme, in the overlap with cultural and visual studies, we use the world seen or recorded visually as matter. From the documentary analysis, we present an image reading exercise to deconstruct, understand and problematize the seen social world.Downloads
