Abstract

The article explores the evolution of pop-up books, highlighting their ability to transform reading into a three-dimensional and playful experience. Its origins in the 13th century, its popularization in the 18th century and its contemporary development are analyzed. Pop up books are presented not only as entertainment, but as educational resources, with an inclusive approach to teaching, and as applications in Visual Communication Design and marketing. The objective of the article is to demonstrate how paper engineering is an example of human ingenuity to create works that fascinate readers of all ages.
