2026-04-01T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2026 https://papelcosido.fba.unlp.edu.ar/ojs/index.php/clang/article/view/2122Tango in The 1960 S: Between the Popular and The Academic2026-04-01T15:41:42+00:00Fernanda Suppicichfernandasuppicich@gmail.com
The studies on the extensive work of Eduardo Rovira are noticed, by the Instituto Nacional de Musicología Carlos Vega and various researchers dedicated to tango and to the figure of the composer, as an area of vacancy in relation to the tango of the sixties. Rigorous analyses of some of his compositions and an account of his extensive catalogue of works in score and discography show the composer’s contribution and the richness of his language: his personal research and innovations in the development of harmony, counterpoint, melodies, textures, timbres and form in so-called modern tango.
2026-04-01T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2026 https://papelcosido.fba.unlp.edu.ar/ojs/index.php/clang/article/view/2121Song to The Nation 2026-04-01T15:39:02+00:00Juan Pablo Gascón juanchigascon@hotmail.com
The book opens a question about the ways in which certain music styles, musicians, audiences, and musical institutions have constructed meanings around the idea of nation in our country, focusing on the period from the emergence of the last military dictatorship to the present day. The leading voices go beyond the genres socially legitimized to speak in the name of the nation —initially, Tango and Folklore, and later also Rock—. In this diversity, it is the song that allows new musical genres to take center stage in a dynamic and plural map that, in its historical development, allows for the reworking of new meanings and uses not foreseen by the creators themselves.
2026-04-01T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2026 https://papelcosido.fba.unlp.edu.ar/ojs/index.php/clang/article/view/2119 data de la década de los años sesenta. This repertoire was disseminated through school songbooks that compiled songs and traditions from the central region of Costa Rica and the province of Guanacaste. The characteristics of this music was defined and disseminated through radio drama, radio contests, and certain foreign musical influences that contributed to the formation of what is now known today as Costa Rican folk music, characterized by its nationalistic style. Based on research conducted on this first quarter of the 21st century, we will analyze how this popular, folk-influenced song developed in Costa Rica during the aforementioned period.
2026-04-01T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2026 https://papelcosido.fba.unlp.edu.ar/ojs/index.php/clang/article/view/2111Cartografía de la errancia2026-03-25T16:16:19+00:00Patricio Banegaspatriciobanegas@gmail.com
This text critiques traditional music education, focusing on the disconnect between musical training institutions and students’ real-world practice, both during their studies and in their professional careers. Through a classroom experience at the Escuela Superior de Música de ChosMalal, the author explores methodologies that prioritize concrete musical praxis and collaborative work. The paper proposes didactic approaches that can expand existing methodological boundaries, validating diverse knowledge and promoting an alternative approach in music teacher training.
2026-04-01T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2026 https://papelcosido.fba.unlp.edu.ar/ojs/index.php/clang/article/view/2112The Flute Sounds in Cundinamarca from Rumba Criolla and Torbellino2026-03-25T16:22:04+00:00Sandra Rocío Barco Gómezjoselrodriguezr@ucundinamarca.edu.coJair Ernesto Herrera Bohórquez joselrodriguezr@ucundinamarca.edu.coJosé Luis Rodríguez Rodríguezjoselrodriguezr@ucundinamarca.edu.co
This article presents the results of the research project The flute sounds in Cundinamarca from rumba criolla and torbellino: a digital beginner’s primer for the traverse flute, winner of the VI Internal Call for the Strengthening of Research Groups 2023-2. The initiative was developed by three professors from the UDECARTE research group, with the support of two students from the SEINMUS Seedbed of the Music Program at the University of Cundinamarca. The main product is a digital beginner’s manual for the transverse flute, conceived as a teaching tool based on the traditional Cundinamarca rhythms of rumba criolla and torbellino. This resource integrates digital technologies and promotes meaningful teaching and learning processes for children and young people, highlighting the importance of cultural identity through historical memory. It also offers new educational narratives that contribute to preserving local cultural heritage, consolidating an innovative and contextualized model for music education in the department of Cundinamarca, Colombia.
2026-04-01T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2026 https://papelcosido.fba.unlp.edu.ar/ojs/index.php/clang/article/view/2114Concert Societies and Musical Practice2026-03-30T14:50:26+00:00Carlos Manuel Galdeanocgaldeano@empleados.fba.unlp.edu.ar
This paper studies the bylaws of six concert societies in Argentina between 1867 and 1884, based on the modeling of the respectability that the promotion of musical practice regulates. Since this practice reflects and shapes behaviors within the social and political dynamics of the time, the statutes are compared to identify common constants. The methodology involves the use of primary archival sources and a bibliographic survey specific to the musical history in Argentina.
2026-04-01T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2026 https://papelcosido.fba.unlp.edu.ar/ojs/index.php/clang/article/view/2115Blanes / Sound Codes2026-03-30T15:31:26+00:00Leonardo Seccoleonardo.secco@fic.edu.uy
This article examines the installation Blanes / Sound Codes by the Uruguayan artist Diego Masi, presented to the public between 7 and 12 November 2017 in the main hall of the Blanes Museum in Montevideo.

2024-09-18T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2026
